And, we are looking for compassionate, dedicated and resilient Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

As an Align Ability Disability Support Worker, you will play a critical role in providing individualised assistance, support and companionship to young (and young at heart) people with diverse abilities. You will be entrusted with the responsibility to empower them, foster their independence, and provide support in their daily activities. This may be through personal care, social & community participation or domestic assistance. Your patience, empathy and willingness to go the extra mile will bring positive changes in the lives of our clients.

Your role as an Align Ability Support Worker

Our support workers come from all walks of life, but share the common goal of improving the lives of those they care for.

No two days as an Align Ability Support Worker are the same. Each of our clients is unique, differing in personality, age, cultural background, interests, goals and abilities. Consequently, the support you provide can range between:

  • Personal care

  • Companionship

  • Accessing community activities, social groups & appointments

  • Groceries & meal preparation

  • Skill development

  • Behaviour support

  • Exercise

While the diversity is vast, a few consistent elements tie our community together:

  • Personalised matching: We pair you with clients based on your skills, experience, interests, and personality to ensure great rapport and a positive working relationship.
  • Dedicated relationship management: Each client is assigned a dedicated Relationship Manager, acting as the primary contact for both you and the client, ensuring smooth communication and effective support.
  • Consistent support: You will be assigned the same clients each week, fostering deeper connections and enabling you to witness the direct impact of your support.
  • Introduction & Choice: Prior to supporting a client independently, you will have the opportunity for an introduction via a “meet & greet” allowing both you and the client to decide if it’s a good match.
  • Tailored training: If a client requires specific support, we ensure you receive training tailored to their needs, setting you up for success.
